1. Who we are
Amigoki (amigoki.com) is an educational gaming platform for children. Online game access is free; we additionally offer digital books and coloring packs (PDF) for download. We do not collect personal information from children during gameplay. Data collection only occurs if an adult voluntarily subscribes to our newsletter, makes a purchase of digital products, or creates a teacher account to use Amigoki in their classroom (see the “Classroom use” section).

2. Information we collect
We only collect:
- Email address — only when an adult voluntarily subscribes to the newsletter from the home page. Children under 13 should not subscribe without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
- Language preference — stored in a technical cookie to remember the selected language between visits. Does not contain personally identifiable information.
3. Use of information
The email address collected through the newsletter is used exclusively to:
- Send periodic updates about new games and content.
4. Children's privacy protection
This site is designed to be safe for children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of the United States, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) of Brazil.
- We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable consent from their parents or guardians.
- We do not show personalized advertising to children under 13 (AdSense operates in kids-directed mode).
- We do not create identifiable personal profiles: analytics services use aggregated data without personally identifiable information (PII).
- We do not use persistent identifiers for the purpose of individually tracking minors.
5. Classroom use
Teachers and schools can create a teacher account to use Amigoki with their class, either with a subscription or with free access. In that case:
- The account belongs to the teacher, who is an adult. We store their email address and subscription details. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see or store card data.
- Children have no account. Each tablet or computer joins the classroom with a code. For each device we store the country, the network in truncated form (never the full IP address), the browser, the time of its last connection, and which games it opened and for how long. This is stored per class, in the teacher's History.
- First name. So the teacher knows who is who, a child may type their first name on joining, or the teacher may set it for the device. We ask for the first name only, no surname, and we filter inappropriate words. It is optional: without a name, the device shows as “Device 1”, “Device 2”, and so on.
- The teacher can turn it off. From the settings in her panel she can disable children typing their name: then they are not asked at all and devices always show as “Device 1”, “Device 2”.
- Who sees it: only the teacher of that classroom. We do not use it for statistics, advertising or any other purpose, and we do not share it with anyone.
- How long it lasts: on the device, the name a child types is deleted automatically when the device goes 2 hours unused or when the teacher ends the class. The class History is kept while the account remains in use, so she does not lose her classes; she can delete any class at any time. If 12 months pass without her signing in to her panel, we delete the first names stored in her classes: the classes are kept, identifying each device by its number.
- No advertising on classroom devices, within the device limit of their plan.
- Authorization. The first name is used only inside the classroom and for educational purposes. By enabling that option, the teacher or school certifies that they are acting as the agent of the families and consenting on their behalf to this educational use. Families can ask for their child's name to be deleted by writing to us at [email protected], or by asking the teacher, who can delete it or delete the whole class from her panel.
6. Newsletter subscription
The newsletter subscription form is intended exclusively for adults (parents, guardians, or educators). If you are a parent or guardian and want your child to receive site updates, you must subscribe using your own email address.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included in each email, or by writing to [email protected]. We process unsubscribe requests immediately.

7. Digital product purchases
When an adult makes a purchase of digital products (books or PDF packs), payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy acts as the legal seller and collects the data necessary for the transaction (name, email, billing address, payment data) under their own Privacy Policy.
Amigoki does not store credit card data or banking information. From Lemon Squeezy we only receive: payment status, buyer's email address (to send the product download link), and transaction identifier. This data is retained for accounting/tax purposes for the applicable legal period.

8. Data retention
We retain newsletter email addresses while the subscription is active. After an unsubscribe or deletion request, the data is permanently deleted within a maximum of 30 days. Purchase-related data is retained according to applicable legal obligations.
Classes saved in a teacher's panel are kept while her account remains in use. If 12 months pass without her signing in, we delete the first names stored in her classes; the classes are kept, identifying each device by its number.

9. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to protect all data transmitted through the site. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel only. In case of a security breach that compromises personal data, we will notify those affected within 72 hours of detection.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you (or the minor's parent/guardian) have the right to:
- Access the personal data we have about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Delete your personal data.
- Object to the processing of your data.
- Revoke consent given at any time.
11. Cookies
We use essential technical cookies and anonymous analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). With your consent, we may also load Microsoft Clarity (anonymized heatmaps and session recordings to improve usability). Google AdSense may set non-personalized contextual advertising cookies in kids-directed mode. The consent banner appears on your first visit and allows you to accept or reject optional cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will publish changes on this same page with the update date. We recommend reviewing it regularly.
