Bubble math game: pop the bubble with the right answer
A puppy blows five bubbles with numbers from the garden, and they float slowly up towards a thorny branch. At the top, a bird holds a sign with a sum. Work it out and tap the bubble with the answer before it reaches the thorns.
There are no levels to choose: the game starts with sums up to 10 and slow bubbles, and every five correct answers something changes. First the numbers grow (up to 15, then 20), then the bubbles speed up three times. At 60 correct answers subtraction joins in, and those who keep going reach addition and subtraction up to 50. The bird announces every change on its sign. There are five lives: you lose one by tapping a wrong number or letting the answer get away.
What kids practise while playing
- Mental addition: with the clock running, counting on fingers stops being enough.
- Really doing the sum: the wrong numbers are close to the answer, so guessing does not work.
- Subtraction, once addition comes easily.
- Focus without rushing: a random tap costs a life.
It works on computers, tablets and phones, with nothing to download and no sign-up.
Addition bubble pop, not a bubble shooter
There is no aiming and no colour matching here. Every bubble carries a number and only one has the answer to the sum: it is addition and subtraction practice at an arcade pace.
Playing in class
Projected on the board, the class calls out the answer before the bubble reaches the top, and someone comes up to tap it. Lives and score are pictures and numbers, so it works the same in any language.

Frequently asked questions
How do you play?
Look at the sum on the bird's sign, work it out and tap the bubble with the answer. Get it right and all the bubbles pop and a new sum arrives. Tap a wrong number, or let the answer reach the thorns, and you lose a life.
What age is it for?
For kids aged 6 to 8. It starts with sums up to 10 and, for those who get far, goes on to addition and subtraction up to 50, so it fits the first years of school.
How many lives are there?
Five. When they are all gone the game ends, and you can start a new one straight away. Your record is saved on the device.
Is there subtraction?
Yes, but it comes later: after 60 correct answers, subtraction up to 10 appears, and after 80, subtraction up to 20. From there the numbers keep growing in fives, up to 50.
