A zebra walks alongside other zebras, all moving almost in step with each other. When something startles them, they break into a run together, kicking up a cloud of dust behind them. Their legs move fast, and the whole group swerves suddenly in the same direction. After running for a while, they slow down and go back to grazing calmly in the grass. They lower their heads to eat and lift their eyes every so often to look around. They stay close to one another, almost touching backs while they graze. You can choose how to paint the stripes, thinner or wider, and play with the contrast between them. As evening comes, the whole group walks toward more open ground and stops beside the rest of the herd.
