The pteranodon glides high above the cliffs, its long crest cutting through the wind like a rudder. Its wings barely move as it rides the air currents, staying aloft without much effort. It traces wide circles over the water, watching for any movement among the waves, then suddenly dives, skims the surface, and rises again with a smooth turn. The wind whistles past the crest, and its shadow slides over the rocks as if it were flying on its own. When it finds a ledge among the stones, it lands slowly and folds its wings against its body, resting there for a moment before launching again. For this coloring page, try one shade for the crest and another for the wings, and play with the sky colors behind it, from pale to deep.
