An arm stretches slowly and wraps around a stone covered in algae, feeling out every gap before deciding whether it's worth entering. The body changes shape to fit the space, shrinking down to slip through a narrow crack between two rocks. The other arms stay outside, moving slightly, ready to react to any shadow that passes nearby. When something gets too close, the whole body pulls back suddenly and vanishes into a cloud that slowly dissolves in the water. A moment later, a single eye peeks out from the crack to check whether the danger has passed. Little by little, first one arm and then another, it comes back out and keeps exploring the rocky bottom.
