A koala spends much of the day wrapped around a branch, its body pressed against the trunk and its claws gripping the bark. When it wakes, it moves its head slowly and sniffs the air before deciding which branch to climb next. Its curved claws let it hold on without effort even in awkward positions. At night it becomes more active, moving from tree to tree with slow, deliberate motions. If another koala comes too close, it often lets out a deep sound from its chest to mark its space. For this coloring page, you can try muted gray tones, blend in a touch of green for the background, or experiment with a different combination altogether.
