Sitting on a windowsill, this plant gets light from just one direction, so the stem tends to curve toward that brightness instead of growing straight up. The pot holding it is narrow and light, meant to let the roots breathe rather than sit packed in dense soil. Whoever cares for it usually waters it sparingly, letting it dry out quite a bit between waterings, and turns it now and then so it doesn't grow lopsided toward one side. All the flowers grow along the same long, curved stalk, which sometimes needs a thin support so it doesn't bend too far.
